Question
hi,
iam manish. i wanted to know about engineering from stanford university as compared to engineering from mit, caltech, university of california or yale ?

Answer
What type of engineering are you interested in studying?  I don't understand your comment that youare "manish".  What specific questions do you have?

Note that Caltech is not known for engineering.  It excels in the pure sciences and mathematics, but is not accredited for most engineering subjects.  The other universities you mention are larger and are better-known for engineering.  Certain UC campuses are better known - Berkeley and Davis are the two best-known for engineering, but UCLA, and the other UC campuses don't have good reputations for engineering.  They focus on pure sciences and general education, so their students have to wait until grad school for engineering.

Don't forget other colleges such as Carnegie-Mellon, Cooper Union, U. of Pennsylvania, U. of Wisconsin - Madison, U of Michigan, Georgia Tech, and many others.
