Question
My son will be graduating from a public high school in Carroll Co Maryland with a 3.4 average or better--he is intersted in Engineering and is being recruited by NCAA Div II and III for baseball--what schools in these divisions have strong Engineering programs as well as a compeitive baseball team?

Answer
Vernon,

I'm more up on the engineering than the baseball, but I can suggest some places for you to check out. I'm an upstate NYer, and this list will reflect that a bit.

Clarkson University(NY)
Alfred University (NY)
RPI (NY)
University of Rochester (NY)
Gannon University (Erie, PA)
Penn State - Behrend Campus (has several options, good rep for engineering and also does some interesting things with engineering & business)
LeTourneau (TX-religious orientation)
Case Western (OH)
Washington University (MO)
Union College (NY)

I hope this list offers a good starting point for you. I might suggest starting out with Gannon and Behrend to establish a baseline and comparisons to take with you going forward.

Best wishes.
