Question
QUESTION: I want a degree in computer engineering and want to go to college in north Carolina which college should i go to.I really want to go to NCSU

ANSWER: Hi Jaquan,

If you really want to go to NCSU then check out the admissions requirement on their website and see if you qualify.  If so, go for it.

Computer engineering programs are pretty specialized so make sure that NCSU has the kind of major you really want.

Best,
Valerie

QUESTION: Well thanks but i also want to pursue a career in criminal justice well i want be a judge where shall i go for that?

Answer
Many colleges have good criminal justice programs.  The best ones have hands on internships with local law enforcement agencies.  To achieve your goal of serving as I judge, I believe you'd need to go to law school after you finish your undergraduate degree.  Law schools want students who can read well, have good critical thinking skills, and can write well.

So, sounds like you want to go to college and study criminal justice and computer science.  You could major in one and minor in the other.  It's important to know that just having a degree in criminal justice doesn't qualify one to serve as a judge.

Jaquan, you're looking at a minimum of 4 years to finish your first degree(criminal justice and computer science)  and then 3 more years of law school as your educational plan.

Best,
Valerie
