Choosing the Right College/College for ADHD

Question
My son will graduate from high school next year. What's your recommendation on choosing a regular college/university that offers LD programs, or a colleges for ADHD?  Also, is there any colleges for ADHD in California that you would recommend? Many thanks!

Answer
I would opt for a regular college that offers the necessary support services your son will need - though I acknowledge saying this not knowing anything about his situation. Untimed or spoken tests, tutoring, lighter courseloads - all are fairly standard support offered in colleges these days.  I would suggest looking first at smaller schools where he may find it easier to establish personal connections with staff and profs.

I don't know enough about CA to recommend a school to you, but I think if you call a couple schools back east here that are known to help LD students, they could probably suggest places to look:

Curry College
Landmark College

Best wishes.
