Question I'm 20 years old and i went to the connecticutt schoo of broadcasting and got a certicficate in broadcasting, but i wanted to know would it be good for me to go to school and get a communications degree to help me become a sports broadcaster
Answer Shariff,
I am generally an advocate for more education. I suggest you start at a community college and work towards the associates degree in arts and sciences, then continue on in communications. If your goal is a BA/BS, do not load up on the communication classes at a community college.
Jobs in sports broadcasting may be hard to come by. If you become more generally educated, you could have broadcast career options in areas outside of sports.
Hopefully you can get some credit for the certificate credits you already possess.
