Question Are international students less likely to be accepted at state univerisities and other public universities? How about international homeschooled student?
Answer Hi Angela,
A few thoughts for you.
Are you a US citizen?
Will you have some type of high school diploma at the conclusion of your high school studies, either a GED or via an extnesion or online school, or similar? It would probably help your admission process if you will be working toward one.
Public universities probably deal with homeschoolers less than private schools, so I suppose you could encounter a lengthier process or additional steps. But, if you have a good transcript record and SAT/ACT scores, you should be fine. Really, colleges don't care that much where good students come from.
If you want to see a good transcript template, go the Houghton College admissions web site and go to the homeschooled student section.
