Experience College admissions can be a very confusing and overwhelming process for parents and the children. I serve as an objective third party to help families through this process.
We are a group of teachers in syria , we would like to ask the following questions :
1- How can we choose the suitable college?
2- How can we deal with the language problem?
3- What is the average of exception in the chosen college?
Answer When choosing the best colleges, it is important to consider the student and what he or she is looking for in a college experience, including academics, cost, interests, and personality. One good site that provides a lot of information is www.collegeboard.com. This is the agency that sponsors the SAT and where a student registers to sign up to take the test. They also have a section called college match which can be helpful in narrowing down your choices. International students at schools in the US need to take the TOEFL test to make sure they are comfortable enough with the English language to be successful in an American university. Most colleges in the US accept at least half of the applicants, but there are some very select schools that only accept a small percentage of those who apply. All American schools have websites that can be helpful for a student to go to and find out more about the colleges, their admission requirements, and the procedure for applying.
