Question
I am a junior in high school and I am Looking for the right college for me and i need help on picking a college for me i want to go somewhere close to home

Answer
Katherine,

To find the right college you need to start by determining what you want from a college. Start at this page on my website to see some of the issues to consider. http://www.collegeadmissionspartners.com/resources/info-to-know/

Now that you know some of the issues, I would recommend that you visit some colleges near where you live that are different in size, academic approach, location, etc. Don't worry about what might be an appropriate college at this point. After visiting some different colleges you will probably start to decide what type of college fits you best. Once you have an idea of what you are looking for in a college, head over to the College Navigator website. http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/

That website allows you to put in information about what you are looking for in a college including location and it will give a list of appropriate colleges.  Once you have a list of colleges you should visit the website of each college to try and figure out which colleges fit you best. You should then apply to those colleges.

Good luck in finding the right college for you.
