hi im from new jersey and i moved to new mexico almost a year ago ...nd i still absolutely HATE it i am african american and living here makes it very hard because being that its not very diverse it very hard being a minority ..next summer im going to University of new Mexico the good thing about this college is i think i pay for either one year or one semester of college and if i keep a gpa of 2.5 ill get a scholarship that pays my whole way through college problem is my senior year has been a reck because i still have no friend and im so alone .i want so bad to get out of her but my i feel like my family is controlling me into what they want for me to do so id rather move to denver..i need help how do i transfer i figure ill try unm for a semester or a year if i dont like it i ant out to another college somewhere in denver ...please help

I think you should give UNM a chance for a year.  If you are not happy by the middle of your second semester, then you can consider a school in Denver.  The problem you will have is that attending a school outside of New Mexico will be a lot more expensive than a school in New Mexico, but I understand how you feel.  Try to make the best grades you can in the next year to give yourself as many opportunities as possible.
