Answer
Ashley,

It is good that you are starting to think about colleges but you don't have to worry about finding one at this age. What is most important at your age is to do well in school and get the best grades possible. Good grades and the classes you take are the most important thing colleges look for in admitting students.

Most students start the search for the right college when they are in their junior year. One option to help you find a college right for you and what you are interested in is the College Navigator Website. http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/   That website allows you to search for colleges by location, average grades, types of majors and many other factors.

As for your interest in young children there are many ways you could work with that age group. You could become a preschool teacher, you could become a pediatrician, or you might want to have your own day care business. Whatever your job, getting a good education will help.

I hope that helps you get started.
