Choosing the Right College/College for struggling student with ADHD

Question
Our daughter who has ADHD has not succeeded in High School for many reasons, not the least of which is a system that didn't support her learning needs.  She is very capable, in the right environment - structured, disciplined, organized.  Her GPA is very low - 1.8 - and I fear she will not be accepted at a college.  How do I help her achieve her dream of going to college?  We live in Minnesota and would like to have her attend college close by.

Answer
I think it might be very helpful for you to have a college consultant assist with finding some schools that might be appropriate for your daughter.  I would be happy to help you if you don't know of anyone in Minnesota who could assist.  I work with high school students and try to help them find schools where they can succeed.  To do a good college search for you would probably require a number of hours and cost about $600.  I would need to know more about your daughter in order to find the right schools.
