Choosing the Right College/College Admissions -- what do they look out for?

Question
Hi!

What do the College Admissions staffs look out for when they read applications for undergraduate admissions?

Thanks!

Answer
writegirl,
It depends on the application.  Most of them will be looking out for GPA, SAT scores, classes taken, essays, and sometimes recommendations.  Admissions look at essays generally to see what sets you apart from other applicants, so it's your chance to be creative.  As for classes taken, they will look for any AP classes or IB classes.  I hope this information helps, and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
