Choosing the Right College/College Stats

Question
QUESTION: I have had difficulty finding clear statistics (even at the census website) of what percentage of the entire U.S. population holds at least a bachelor's degree? Also I was curious what the trend was currently? Anything you could tell me would be very helpful. Thanks. :)
ANSWER: Approximately 29% of the United States population has a bachelor's degree.  This number has remained pretty much the same for the last five years.  While there are more individuals going to college, many are attending community colleges or dropping out without finishing a degree program.

QUESTION: I personally am hoping that number will go down because I would really like for my degree to be worth something when I get it. I'm so tired of school and if I found that I needed to continue in order to get by I'm going to be so depressed and so in debt by the time I finish.

Answer
Hang in there.  Your degree will always be worth something and it is the ticket to a better job and more advancement.  Once you have a good job, many employers will pay for further education if they feel it would be beneficial to your job position.  Sometimes college gets long and hard, but believe me, it is worth the effort.
