Question
Sir,
this is Sachin from Lucknow. I got 47% marks in 10+2 in the year 2005. At present i am getting admission in Chandigarh Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Chandigarh. I am getting B-Tech in Electronics and Communication. According to the details i got through the website the college is recognised by HRD, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India for BE/B-Tech. I wanted to know that is it really a govt. recognised institution or not ?
Should i take admission in this college or should i stay one more year for Engineering Entrance Exams ?
I also wanted to clear one thing that the B-Tech Course the college is providing it is B-Tech or just Equivalent to B-Tech.
Please reply soon on my E-Mail address. Might be possible that your reply can save my year.
                                    Regards

Answer
If the school says it is recognized by the government of India, I think you need to assume that is correct.  I think the decision to stay one more year is only yours to make.  I would continue to email the college and address your questions to the engineering department.  They are the only real source for information.  Most of us in the US are not as familiar with schools in India and what they have to offer.  Get the answers you need before you make any decision.
