Question Hi, I took summer school English and received a credit, and I did not take english this year. DOes the summer school credit count towards the college 4 year English requirement? if not, what can I do? I am really worried.
Answer Hey!
This depends on a lot of things- since I'm not exactly what you're referring to, I'll try my best to cover all angles.
The first question is whether you are in high school or college?
If you are in college.....
If you mean "summer school" in the sense that you took summer classes at a college or university in English, then, depending on the college that you are currently attending, they may or may not transfer. What you need to do is check with the college/university that you are attending to make sure that those credits have transferred. If these credits appear on your official transcript, you should be alright, but I still advise you to check with someone at your school.
If you took summer classes in English at the same college/university that you currently attend, you should be fine.
If you are in high school or just graduated high school this year.....
If you mean "summer school" in the sense of high school before college, then, no, the credits would not transfer, unless what you are referring to is the AP test. If you mean that the summer classes towards English counted towards your four years of high school English, then yes, you should be ok, but once again talk to an official or someone at your school.
