Question
I'm a senior in high school and am already certain that i want to be an obstetrician when i get graduate. I want to go to Stephen F. Austin but I'm not sure if that's the college for me. Do you have any suggestions? Can you help me figure out how to choose the best pre-med college for the field i want to be in?

Answer
The main focus of your undergraduate education is to major in something that you really enjoy.  Medical schools like students from different areas of interest.  In fact, philosophy majors are very popular for medical school applicants.  I would suggest that you consider what it is that you want in a college such as size, location, student body, expenses, etc.  From there you should be able to put together a list of schools that appeal to you.  You will obviously take a lot of science and math courses, but choose a major that really excites you and do well.
