Choosing the Right College/Transferring

Question
Hi, I applied to four year schools and got in, but then decided to attend
community college and my original plan was to go for 2 years, but now I am
deciding against that feel the need to transfer sooner.  I didn't think I wanted to
leave, but now  I feel that I need to get away from my hometown and experience,
new, bigger, and better things.  Is it  worth it to apply for the second semester
and enroll at a four year college then or should I wait?

Answer
Most four year schools want to see a student's full year at a community college.  Since you take finals in December and often don't get your grades until early January, a college would not have any grades to look at before they had to make a decision on you as an applicant.  Take the core classes your need and do your best so that you can apply to college sometime during your second semester.
