Choosing the Right College/Vet

Question
Hello, i was told in order to become a vet u first need to get degrees in biology and maybe zoology.  Is this correct? Or do i need one in chemistry. I havnt decided on colleges because of this, thank you in advance.

Answer
Obviously a lot of science is required in order to be a vet.  I don't think the major you choose is critical as long as you take as many biology, zoology, and chemistry classes that you can.  Vet schools are very competitive and want to see that you have also taken advantage of jobs and internships that are related to animals and veterinary medicine.
