QuestionI have a repeat question from 2003; we are looking for a Christian college for Aeronautical Engineering for our soon, do you have newer knowledge from 2003 and what is it you mean by a "3-2" college? Thank you for any information you may be able to offer.
AnswerGary,
I'm afraid that I still don't know of a Christian college with this area of study - it's so specialized.
A 3-2 program works like this:
student attends college A (private Christian school) for 3 years taking, math and physics and the usual liberal arts requirements. Fourth year student moves on to engineering school (B) with which school A has an agreement. Student slides right into the engineering curriculum and after 2 more years of study will have both the degree from school A, usually in math or physics, and the engineering degree.
Here's an angle you may want to look at - consider the large school that has the engineerign program you want and contact them to see if they have any 3-2 arrangements in place - perhaps they have Christian schools on their list.
I suggest starting with Clarkson, Washington University and Case Western - I know these have had 3-2 set ups either now or in the past. This is kind of a work-backwards approach, but I think it might make sense when you are looking for a program few schools ofer.
I hope this is helpful.
