Well I hear you Christians believe that your god was nailed to a cross...well my god, the norse thunder god, Thor, wields a giant hammer...is this a coincidence?  What do you think?

If you read the Bible and study history and science carefully, you will discover at least three things:  1) Jesus is not the founder of Christianity or anything remotely like it; 2) Almost everything the Bible predicted two thousand and more years ago is now either  scientific fact or probable in the near future and 3) None of the authors of the Bible would support modern Christianity, although they would all agree that Jesus died for our sins.

So, to answer your question, it would appear that your god Thor was invented by sinners, just as a bogus religion called Christianity was likewise, invented by sinners.

Which proves the point, like the Bible says, we all have sinned and fall short of moral and other perfection, which is why Jesus died.  It is pretty hard otherwise, if there is no sin, to explain why human beings would crucify their greatest moral teacher.

Now and then, a man or woman is heard sobbing on the evening news, because their child has suffered horribly and died from cancer, in a tragic accident or from some other kind of tragedy, sobbing that they would have gladly taken their child's place if they could have.

Thus, for our father in heaven to sacrifice his only son is the greatest demonstration of love known in all of recorded history, by a very long shot.  It was a far greater sacrifice for our father to give his only son, than if he had scraficed himself, as is clearly demonstrated by the man or woman who says about their own child's suffering, "If I could have only taken their place".
