Christian Humor/Did Jesus Christ rise

Question
Hello

Did Jesus actually rise from the dead?

Answer
Of course he did.  How do you think that people like Mother Teresa, Albert Schweitzer, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Helen Keller became such great Human Rights activists?  Do you think that somehow they did it on their own without any help?  If Jesus did not rise from the dead, there is no hope for Human Rights or for anyone.

Consider this.  According to the story in the New Testament, Jesus was first seen by women after he rose from the dead.  Anyone who has studied much history knows that if someone were attempting to create a myth in the era and place that Jesus lived, the last thing they would do is try to establish it by the testimony of a woman or women.  Women were considered so inferior in that society that no one who wanted to perpetrate a hoax or myth would attempt to validate such a thing by using them as credible witnesses.  They would have selected men and not just any men, but men of high standing or else, men central to the life of Jesus, such as some of his main male disciples.  The fact that the story uses women to first establish that Jesus rose from the dead speaks volumes for the authenticity of the story.
