Question
Alrighty. I have totally been looking forward to seeing the new Steve Carrell movie, 'Evan Almighty'. If you have not seen previews, it is a comedy based on Noah's Ark. It also one of my other fave actress/comedians Wanda Sykes. Alas, I am a bit nervous to see it because I am not sure whether or not it is inferior to my strong Catholic beliefs. Please help me. Am I still able to see this movie, knowing it is made for laughs and is not made to poke fun at God or the Christian Church, or is it a movie that should be discarded?

Answer
Hi Lina,

We were watching another commercial about this movie, when it suddenly dawned on me that I had made a reference about a "neo-Moses" in our reply. Normally, Guyna and I proofread each other's text for errors and although we discussed our answer to you, I failed to ask her to proof my typing, hence the reference to "neo-Moses" which should have read "neo-Noah". We really do know the difference between Moses and Noah, but we are reminded of the joke in the form of a trick question, "How many of each kind of animal did Moses take on the ark?"  Most will answer without thinking, "Two.", when the correct answer is "None."
If they respond that their answer was correct but the question was wrong, they are still incorrect as it was 7 pairs of "clean" animals and one pair of "unclean" animals. (Gen. 7:2).
We apologize for the error in our response.
 Sincerely,
 Mel and Guyna
