Christian Music/Lost song

Question
I use to sing with a group from church. We did a song call"I believe". I don't know who wrote it or recorded it. Some of the word are:
If I were to tell you
What someone told me
Well I might miss a detail or two...

I do know a few more word if that would help you. It would have to have been popular and easily accessible because we did not have much money and lived in rural area outside of New Orleans. Does this help and can you help me find my lost song. Thank you for your time anyway....Oh, I need words and music....

Answer
I HAVE NOT SEEN YET I BELIEVE
by Brady Lorenc
Written by Sally DeFord

is one possible answer

There's an "I Believe" by Elvis Presley (he made a Christian tune or two)
-- this song was recorded by several different artists.

I hope this helps

As a writer, I've had the opportunity to interview great artists such as: Crystal Lewis, Papa San, Christ Fa Real, Ramiyah, Knowdaverbs and Tammy Trent. As a DJ, I've played at fashion shows, school formals, birthday parties, Thanksgiving dinners ... But my favorite gig was spinning all of the music for a co-worker's wedding and reception.
