QUESTION: I participated in a church choir production back in the 80's to a group of songs that started out with The Trumpet of Jesus.  I have found that song.  I am looking for the song that starts out with the words:
    She stands by the grave of her master, crying her sorrow away.  (Then somewhere in the middle of the song it goes)  Why Mary why are you crying?  Why Mary why are you sad.  I lost the one who freed me from sin.

Please help.
I think it is either titled He is Risen or Risen.

ANSWER: The title is He is Risen (Mary's Story), so you weren't too far off.  I'm not sure if you were looking for the music or lyrics, but I've included the lyrics below.  The sheet music is available in collections/cantatas.  Just do a Google search for "He is Risen (Mary's Story)" and you'll see the few places it is available.

QUESTION: I am not looking for Mary Magdalene's Story.
In your first email there were no lyrics that matched up with mine.  Sorry, could not find what you were talking about.  Please help with the correct song.  The song was part of a prodution in a collection that was called Trumpet of Jesus.  I have actually found the original guy that sang that song. Just not the collection from which we had.

Sorry about that.  I missed getting the lyrics in there.  They are below this time.  The song is "He is Risen (Mary's Story) by Tim Sheppard.  I cannot find anything on a collection/cantata called "Trumpet of Jesus."  Being from the 80's, it is likely to be out of print.  The only in print sheet music I can find containing that song is in a collection/cantata called "The Day He Wore My Crown", by David Clydesdale.  You can try contacting Tim Sheppard through his website at www.timsheppard.org
