Christian Music/70's Christian Song

This song was a popular recording at that time, I had thought it was performed by Don Francisco, but there was no reference to it on his website. I remember it well and appreciate the compilation of the lyrics.

My wife possessed a Cassette copy of the recording but it no longer functions.  If it has been released in CD, that knowledge would be helpful.

I remember the song "Take another lap around Mt. Sinai" and heard it sung by someone I believe claimed to be the author, a performer named Dan Wittemore (not sure of the spelling) originally from California. I actually had a songbook from him with it in it, but who knows where it is now! Hope this helps!

The writer of Take Another Trip Around Mt. Sinai was Alfred Porier.  We were working together close to Bishop, California in the early 70's when Alfred wrote that song.

I can answer most questions about church music, both choral and congregational. I can also answer questions about music ministry and worship arts. I probably can't tell you who sings that great Christian song you just heard on the radio - call the radio station or check their website.

I have been in the music ministry for more than 15 years, leading in both traditional and contemporary services in a number of different denominations.

BA in vocal music performance with an emphasis on sacred music
