Can you tell me why the people cricified Jesus? Why did God kill his own son?

Thank you for contacting us for insight into your questions.

Before I tell you why people crucified Jesus, you need to know that Jesus is God's *Only* Divine Son. God sent Him into this world to Save the people from sin. God is that good and merciful that He sent His only Divine Son to Earth to rid people of their sins and teach them the difference between good and evil.

Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem. They are His earthly parents but God had an important mission for Jesus. He wanted to send Him here to SAVE sinners and so that they could become Born Again in Jesus' Name so that when it came time for people to pass on, they would be able to go to Heaven and not to hell.

As Jesus' mission began, there were many who were very jealous of Him and when they saw the miracles that He performed such as healing the lame, making the blind see, healing lepers, giving hearing to the deaf, driving out demons from the possessed, and even raising the dead, they became even more jealous and by then people knew He was the Son of God and that alone they thought would detract from the power of the rulers of that day so they could not readily accept Him. As Jesus grew up He performed more and more miracles to include walking on water, turning water in to wine, feeding the thousands with a few loafs of bread and a few fish, etc. Even the so-called "religious" people of His day turned against Him as did one of His own disciples named Judas. Judas told the Jewish guards where Jesus was and was paid a few silver coins for his trouble. When the Jews found Jesus, they arrested Him and took Him before Pontius Pilate, a ruler. He did not want anything to do with Jesus at first but after hearing the people outside call for Him to be crucified in order to save another man named Barabbas, he gave in and Jesus was taken to Calvary where He, an innocent man and Son of God, was whipped and beaten repeatedly and unmercifully by the Jews. He was made to carry His own cross to where He would be crucified. But Jesus did not die in vain. He was given that mission by His Heavenly Father, God. God Loves Us so much that He gave up His only begotten Son so that we may Live eternally by becoming BORN AGAIN. That kind of Love is incomparable by anything else.

After the Jews had crucified Jesus, He arose from His grave (He RESURRECTED!) on the third day and ascended into Heaven. But before ascending He stayed with most of His disciples for a period of forty days and nights. That showed everyone that He was truly The Son of God! When they saw Him they were dumbfounded and He has been with us since in Spirit and has told us He will be with us forever. We all owe our life to Jesus who came here to SAVE us. He wants us to turn from all sin and give our life to Him so that we too can be Saved and not suffer the eternal pains of despair and torture in hell when we pass over. There is only One (1) true God and Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity -- God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. Three separate but in ONE.

I hope you can now begin to understand the importance of Jesus Christ in your life and how much He suffered for you and for me because He Loves Us so very very much. He gave up His own life so that WE could be Saved eternally in the hereafter! No greater Love can exist anywhere at any time in the present or the future from anyone else. Jesus is ALL there is and no other religion can claim what Jesus did. That is why people adore and glorify Him and give their life to Him, by becoming BORN AGAIN in order to attain Salvation so Important to our soul and spirit when we pass on!
