Christian Mysticism/divine couple

Question
Why is the Divine Couple so revered in other forms of mysticism (I.E. Tipereth/Shekinah in Kabbalah, Shiva/Shakti in Hinduism, God/Goddess in Wicca) seemingly absent from Christian Mysticism?
Also, why does Christianity seem to have a negative attitude towards sexuality in general?

bridal mysticism is present in much christian mysticism, as is marian devotion, both of which relate to the masculine/feminine Divine Mysteries. the leading authority on the divine couple in religions is bhakti ananda goswami and he is on facebook, as is his retreat center, saint francis of assisi ecumenical retreat center...  the negative christian attitude to sex can be traced to gnostic influences... check out this website: http://bhaktianandascollectedworks.wordpress.com/
