Christian Mysticism/angels

Question
Mr. Clark,
Hello. I'm a born again christian. I have been for most of my life. I think I was originally drawn to christianity as God protected me from demons since I was a child. I have the ability to sense and sometimes see demons at times and they've attempted to possess me before. The only way to keep them from doing so is to call upon God to protect me, and he does so. It's been very helpful to say the least. Anyways, on a recent trip to Japan, I encountered demons somehow different than the ones I was used to. I always knew demons were after me for some reason but these ones wanted me dead. I wont go into details, and Im leaving a lot of things out, but I wasnt able to physically fight it off on my own, which is when something really strange happened. I became what would considered to be my guardian angel, appearantly Im supposed to have an important role in the future (which is why the demons want to kill me) so an angel was bonded with my spirit to protect me when necessary. I know this must sound very strange, but I was looking to get another opinion on this as its all news to me. Thanks,
Mistydawn

Answer
Hi Mistydawn,

"its all news to me."

I guess you're referring to the idea of being bonded to a guardian angel? I really don't know what to think. Just be careful that this isn't your imagination or possibly a spiritual deception. The way I see it, you really can't go wrong by continuing to call on God for help. There might be other things you could do to prevent so-called 'spiritual attack.' One thing that I think is important is to stay in good health, eat right, and try to stay fit (e.g. some form of daily exercise). It might sound a bit hokey but if you're really under attack, then your body would be a good place for forces of evil to try to weaken you. And a discerning mind in most instances needs a healthy body. Many people also find that attending a religious assembly helps to keep them on top of things. The spiritual and social elements, along with the physical, might help to keep the gray away. That and lots of prayer.

Just some ideas... everyone has to find their own solution.

Expertise

I can probably be of assistance to those who feel they don't easily fit into the existing methods, molds or patterns usually associated with Christian mysticism.

I may comment on historical approaches. But in contemporary society many feel the need for new ways of connecting with the Holy Spirit, ways that are in sync and integrated within a 21st century worldview.

Experience

I've explored several different Christian denominations and respect their various strengths without turning a blind eye to their weaknesses as I see it. I also look at connections among Christians and other beliefs at my educational website earthpages.org and at my blog michaelwclark.com.
