Christian Mysticism - strange moon glow

Expert: Dr. Jay Forrest - 8/9/2004

Question
Hello,
I live in a rural area where I can see the stars and moon very well on a clear night. A little after midnight on the morning of friday august 6 I looked out at the moon which was at half stage. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the glow eminating from the moon was in the shape of a cross. I watched it for awhile and then I noticed something else. There was a beam of light coming down to just outside my window. It was like when the sun shines through a small hole in the barn wall and sends a beam angling down to the floor. The beam was very thin so I didn't see it right away and I had to really focus on it.  That was the only night I have seen this.
I would love to hear your ideas on it.
Thank you for your time, Brenda J Niehaus

Answer
Hi Brenda,

Go speaks to us through nature. They are called natural parables. The cross is clearly an important part of this natural parable. I can't tell you what it means, because it was meant for you. You might look up the word moon in a concordance and see if any Bible passage stands out.
