Question
Does it sever the spiritual walk when one partner attends a diffrent church?I am asking this for a friend. Her husband is trying to forse her to remain in the same church he attends. She explained that she is not growing in her walk with God there. He says if she attends a diffrent church it will sever their walk & make him look bad.His church does't allow even womens bible study without a man present. Is there a scripture for this?
I am asking this for a dear friend who is being put through the wringer right now....

Answer
Thats hogwash..tell her to follow the Holy Spirits leading in  her heart.

If he's content to not grow, so be it...but if she wants to grow...allow her to move on.

I would like to add that most churches do not teach and preach  the whole truth of God, they only preach what's soothing to their congregations' ears. The Holy Spirit 's job is to convince and convict of sin. If she is not being convicted of sin in her life, by those that wish to water down God's word, then let her move on. If he wishes to stay as he is, then so be it.

I hope this helps

Expertise

My main expertise is in Prophecy. I have a B.A. degree in Religion and Church Ministry from a school for Prophets, out of Jacksonville, Florida. I am also quite versed in the Bible as a whole. I am a non-denominational Christian, due to my belief that God never meant for different denominations... there is ONLY one religion (as the word of God says). I consider this to be an excellant way to witness the glory of God to others, and to further His Kingdom, and purposes...before the soon return of His Son, Jesus.

B.A Degree in: Religion and Church Ministry from School for Prophets in Jacksonville Fl. Under the auspices of the Calvary Chapel Church of God
