Question
If jesus had first arrived in 2008 how would we accept him?what would be the consequences? and would he be obligated to die to prove his divine love?

Answer
William,

Of course, anything that I would write on this subject would be complete speculation on my part. According to Scripture, Jesus came according to God's perfect timing and plan. "In the fullness of time, God sent forth His Son to be born of a virgin..." God always times things perfectly. According to divine prophecy, there would be specific things taking place that would usher in the Messiah, God's Anointed One. Those things were occurring when Jesus came the first time. Should he come today the first time, rather than about 2000 years ago, everything would be fulfilled in a different way. That is why God was, and is, in total control. Even choosing to send His Son at the time that would fulfill His Word. It is God that glorifies His name. I am grateful that He chooses to use me to glorify Him, as I would not always get it right. Fortunately, God always gets everything right, including the perfect time of sending His Son. I hope this answers, to you satisfaction, the question you have.

Expertise

I seek to help Christians in doctrinal matters. Many Christians think that doctrine doesn`t matter, yet the Scriptures indicate otherwise. It is my desire to share from the Word of God with those who have legitimate questions. As such, I cannot claim expertise, except that I will seek to answer from the Authority (the Bible). If I cannot find a Biblical answer, I may offer an opinion based upon my understanding of Scripture, or I will simply reply with an, "I Don`t Know".
