Question
When Christ rose from the dead He had a new body, but was still recognised as Christ. When we are raised and ascend to heaven, what type of body will we have and how will our loved ones who have gone before recognise us? E.G. A mother who ascends to glory when her child is 35 will not know the child, when as an 80 year old, (s)he ascends to be with Him or, a widow will not recognise the spouse if one was to die 30 years before the other.

Answer
Dear Colin,

There is no clear indication of what you are asking. However Jesus was called the first born from the dead.

He had a flesh and bones body which he invited his disciples to touch and yet he just appeared and disappeared apparently at will.

He ate and drank but didn't need to, it seems. We , also, will be like this. But spirits are different.

As the the age...well i guess we will be at least mature...and yet everyone will be able to recognize us somehow. That dimension is different. People are recognized by their spirits, not their ages. There is no aging there.

These are all surmises as there is no real details concerning this issue in the bible. You just have to deduce it.

Hope this helps Colin?

God bless
