Christianity -- Christian Living/BIBLE VERSIONS

Question
I am not so much asking a question in as much as I am making a statement and observation.  I am a born again, once back-slidden, Holy Sprit baptized Christian, raised in a non-denominational church.  I whole heartedly agree with you on the subject of denominations.  There is only one true church and that is our personal relationship with our Creator in heaven, though there is much power when we gather together in one accord in His name.
First and foremost I appreciate the ministry you are conducting on this web and I am sure our Father in heaven will have great rewards for your service.  However, my spirit sank and the Lord spoke to me when I read over and over that the only Biblical authority is that of the King James Version of the Bible.  I must disagree with you as the Spirit has led me to write this.
How can you claim that one translation of God's word is the only authority?  Does it not make sense that a better version could be translated at this present day in age with the knowledge we have gained since the 1600's.  The KJV was written to correct errors in former translations.  There are errors in the KJV as well.  The only "true" version of the Bible then should be Greek, Chaldaic, and Hebrew as this is the language the original texts were written in.  The sayings of Christ were not even recorded in His own spoken language of Aramaic.  The New Testament was written in Greek.  Where would someone stand that was using a Bible written in Chinese or Cyrillic?  Because their version is not the KJV are they in the wrong as well.
The beauty of our Bible is that it has sustained so long and given so much due to its different translations.  It's hypocritical to say that the KJV is the only authority as it is not even the original authority.  Who are you to condemn different translations of the Father's word?  Do you think our Father in heaven is going to chastise us for using a NIV or perhaps a NAS bible?  Or is this just a teaching of your own?
The true authority on the word of God is His inner word, that spoken to us through the Holy Spirit.  The word of God is a powerful tool, but it's exactness in translation is not our salvation, nor a prerequisite for it.  The Good Book has gone through many translations through the ages and the KJV is wrought with inaccuracies through the loss of translation.  King James himself put restrictions on what the scholars of his day could put into "his" translation of the Bible.  Words in some linguistics do not directly translate into English including those from the original Biblical texts.  Why otherwise do you use a Strong's Concordance?  Perhaps because the KJV is flawed and not the only authoritative translation.
You say you are non-denominational why then do you only accept the KJV of the Bible as the only authority?  This in of itself brings division, strife and conformity not of God's word.  Do you say then that there is no power in alternate translations?  The only true authority on the word of God is the discernment of the Spirit.  I personally have 5 different versions (translations) of the Bible and cross reference them all as any good scholar would do.  Strong's concordance is a great ally into deciphering the mysteries behind the English translations.
I do not mean to cause bitterness or division in writing this.  I write this to you as the Spirit has led me.  I ask that you seek the truth of this matter from God our Father and He will open your mind.  Do not close your mind to things of this earth, such as man's translations of the Bible.  The true Word of God is Jesus himself.  His witness and our acknowledgement are where our salvation lies.  I can tell you are young, but heed the word of someone a bit older than you, as this is not from me, but from God himself.  I'm also led to the passage of I Tim 2:14-19.  The heresy is not in the translation, but in false witness.  I will pray for peace and discernment for you and I pray as well that your ministry may grow as you do in the Lord.  Have a Blessed Day!

Answer
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus, the Christ

First of ALL, sorry for taking so long to answer you, I don't normally take this long.

Being non-denominational has nothing whatsoever to do with which particular version you wish to study from. Nowhere in God's word is it taught that there BE such a thing as denominations. Denominations are being used as a tool by satan to divide and conquer us.

It's been proven to me, over and over that only the KJV is the most accurate english version of God's word. The KJV has been around and used to bring about a change in a person, for over 600 years...all these other version have come out in the last 60 yrs or so.

Now, let me ask you a question...

What is the best way to deceive and eventually win over, by conquering, God's plan for mankind?
Every general and/or soldier knows this answer.

The best way for satan to win, is to DIVIDE then conquer the body of Christ as a whole. The most easiest way to do this, is to discredit and/or modify the word of God, which he has done so well, these last 60 yrs. Look what denominations has done to us, as a whole !! It causes us to fight amongst ourselves, ruining our testimony and the power of God.  Think about this aspect real good, and after praying about it, I believe you shall see for yourself and answer this question.

Hope this helps
In His Service, and love
Bro.  Kit

Expertise

My main expertise is in Prophecy. I have a B.A. degree in Religion and Church Ministry from a school for Prophets, out of Jacksonville, Florida. I am also quite versed in the Bible as a whole. I am a non-denominational Christian, due to my belief that God never meant for different denominations... there is ONLY one religion (as the word of God says). I consider this to be an excellant way to witness the glory of God to others, and to further His Kingdom, and purposes...before the soon return of His Son, Jesus.
