Christianity -- Christian Living/Question on marriage
Expert: Kit Goins - 7/24/2009
QuestionI was wondering if you could tell me what is wrong wtih people of the same sex getting married. I mean, on a "nuts and bolts" level. I am hearing the debate on both sides but I don't think anyone has yet defined on a practical level why it is wrong - unless it just got past me. I am open to hearing anything and everything. I am not looking to lure anyone into an argument just so you know, I am just trying to collect and weigh all the information I can, I am open. So if you can give me some information in that area, on a nuts and bolts practical level I would be very much appreciative for the food for thought.
Thank you.
Robert
AnswerGreetings, in the name of Jesus, the christ...
First of all, the only reasons will be brought forth here, is that they are biblically wrong.
There is a verse that simply says "as you believe, so be it". In other words, what ever you shall believe, shall become what you believe, for every action there is a reaction.
If you can't believe what God says in His word (KJV), then I can not give any reasons at all.
God commanded that only a man and woman can get married, NOT two people of the same sex.
Other then that reason ...there is no other. You must believe that God is alive,real...
and personal..before trying to accept the truth. Otherwise, things will never become fully understanable to you. WHY? because only spirit can understand spirit. I realise that you don't understand this as yet. Simply because you are not born again by the spirit of God,and thereafter become acceptable means of verification.
Because He created us, He knows what is best for us in the long run. He knows our weaknesses and strenghts etc etc. Anything not of God, is of the devil. The battlefield is in our minds. But what the devil doesn't understand yet, is the simple fact that the war was already won, but satan and his demons are still fighting battles.
I hope this helps, at least a little.
In His Service, and Love
