QuestionI heard on TV from a pastol that Eve was seduce by Satan and that this mean she had sex with Satan than Adam had sex with Satan as well. And when Eve had Cain, Satan is the father of Cain and Abel was the son of Adam. How true is this?
AnswerIsrael,
Thank you for your inquiry.
There are many non-mainstream, and false, preachers that teach the "serpent seed" doctrine, using scripture completely out of context. The Scripture says they twist the scriptures to their own destruction. They fail to teach the clear Biblical account of Cain's birth. Genesis 4:1-2 tells of Cain's and Abel's conception:
"And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."
Notice that "Adam knew Eve". This is not just an acquaintance type of knowledge, but a personal knowledge through experience. In other words, he knew her in such an intimate way as to conceive a son within her womb. and she conceived Cain. That is about as clear as it can possibly be. Even Eve herself acknowledged the blessedness of this conception, as she declared, "I have gotten a man from the Lord".
Those that teach the "serpent seed" doctrine utilize one passage of Scripture in 1 John 3:12 to "prove" their point. It says, "Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one". It refers to Cain as being a child of the devil, in that he had no love for his brother, Abel.
You can see that one clearly spells out the conception physically of Cain, pointing to Adam, while the other shows that the conception of the hate in Cain came from the devil.
I hope this helps to clarify that Cain's Earthly dad was Adam, and that he had hatred in his heart, which was placed there by Satan. Even God indicated to Cain, that if he did well, he would be accepted. There is no indication, in Scripture, that Eve ever had a physical relationship with Satan.
