QuestionIs it true that if I don't confess every one of my sins that my soul will be lost when I die?
AnswerGreetings, in the name of Jesus, the Christ
I'm so happy and blessed that you came to me with this
particular question, cause most believe this is the case.
But let me assure you that even though, they, who believe this, are only understanding half the truth...and not the whole truth of the matter.
What you say, is partially true (so-to-speak), but let me try and help you better understand the whole truth.
First you must confess to Jesus, that you are a sinner, and are in need of a saviour. Then after confessing this, you must then accept the fact that Jesus paid the penalty of death (for those sins), to God, FOR YOU, by dying on the cross. When you confess and believe these things (the word of God teaches) that you must be baptised (under water) signifying that a NEW BIRTH has begun, at the time of doing the above things. As soon as you confess that you are a sinner and are in need of a saviour, and thereafter, accept Jesus' paying your sin penalty to God... You then confess Jesus as the new "Lord" of your life, and begin OBEYING Him from that day forward, by the power of the Holy Spirit within you.
Now AFTER this takes place, Jesus (via the Holy Spirit) will
from time-to-time bring to your remembrance, past sins that you still practice daily. It is this part that I think you are not fully understanding. So yes, you must confess these sins, and REPENT (stop them, turn from them, and turn to God)
In other words, what you are doing, in essence, is actually
confessing (by mouth) to Jesus, that you are sinning this sin daily....and that from now on, you are going to STOP doing this or that particular sin.
How do we know what is sin, you may now ask?
Well carefully read and study the ten commandments...for a starter. Most every known sin comes from these basic ten.
I hope I have helped you better understand.

Bro. Kit
