Hello, Kit.  I have a situation that I hope you can help me with.  About 8 or 9 years ago, some prophets/ministers came through the place I was staying and laid hands on me.  He told me I was going to have a very bright future.  I didn't think to ask him what he saw.  Since then, there was also something in the word about a man I knew, but that turned out to give us all kinds of trouble.  I BELIEVE that part is over, though.  Now, I enquired of a prophet on one of the prophetic websites as to what the Lord would have me to do now.  She said that God told her that the time for me to move is now - to step out in faith so I could start experiencing what God had for me. Said it was not about assurance, but obedience; that God had a set of instructions for me but I had to step out first.  Step where?  Do what first?  I was never told exactly what He had in store for me, and some evil persons found out and won't let anybody tell me.  I'm believing Him for a house, but I have no way of knowing what to do even if that were the case.  I thought we might be moving from where we lived, but she wouldn't confirm or deny that, either.  I want to be obedient, but I feel like what she told me was too vague and ambiguous.  If I left this minute, I'd be leaving a lot of things undone and, as far as I could find out, there are no shelters or housing available right away for the little money I've saved so far.  I'd really like confirmation or a few specifics.  If you receive a word from the Holy Spirit about this, I surely would love to hear it. Greetings, in the name of Jesus...

First of all, although , at times God has given me visions
(only for myself), I'm not a prophet that hears from God on any one person, and then speaks what thus saith the Lord to that person...I'm sorry if that is what you expected.

There are two types (or rather "OFFICES") of a prophet.
1. is what was mentioned above

2. is what I do...I take the written word of God and expound on that word, so that more can be understood
of that word....in a much more deeper and spitual way.

in other words, give the meat of the word ...to help get the person off the milk...so to speak.


let also finish with this...there are many so-called prophets out there today...the bible teaches us that they will decieve many.  Be very careful who you hear from ...
secondly, God is not a mystery man...He does NOT cause confusion (the devil is the author of confusion).

Do this...if you can:

FAST for three days (no food or water)...praying ALWAYS
and stay in the spirit. if you can't do 3 days work yourself up to it. for ex:  one weekend do 2days
then the next 3days. as soon as you finish 3 days(come off the fast), staying in the spirit, praying to the father always 24/7, drink and eat, then immediately go to your praying place and ask God what He wants you to ....
then after you ask Him just be still and listen for that small still voice...and I almost guarantee you'll get your answer.
