Christianity -- Christian Living/Pope visits Auschwitz
Expert: Kit Goins - 6/1/2006
QuestionThank you for the response, but that doesn't give me an answer. All you've shown me is that God allows horrible things to happen to Christians as well as Jews. And in fact, they are happening to all sorts of people who have all sorts of religious beliefs. So again, WHY?

Question -
The Pope visits Poland's Auschwitz death camp and asks two questions, "God, why did you remain silent?" and "Where was God?" and then makes no effort to answer them! These are valid, logical questions which have been asked by the loved ones of victims of every disaster from war to tsunami to earthquake to the individual innocent little girl kidnapped by a predator, raped over and over, then stuffed into a plastic bag and buried alive. How can we respond to these questions?

Answer -
Let me instead, ask this...
how do we respond to the same questions of why
thousands of christians killed by roman gladiators,
eaten by lions, killed in wars since days past?
It is for a testimony of our strong faith and illegiance to
the only true and living God. All these things that God has allowed...has been allowed for a very good reason..
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
And that's all i can say about this matter.
AnswerI believe I answered your question...WHY?
When I said the following;
It is for a testimony of our strong faith and illegiance to
the only true and living God. All these things that God has allowed...has been allowed for a very good reason..
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
If you require more than that...then you'll just have to wait until we are sitting at the judgement seat of Christ, upon His second coming...like the rest of us will.
All will become known then. If we were meant to know more than what we do now...God would of given us more in His word (the Bible). The answer to this question goes much deeper than what i've given you up till now. And it would require more study of God's word (on your part). Most, if not all questions about this life here on earth, has been answered by careful study of God's word. This is why it is said:
STUDY TO SHOW THYSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD, A WORKMEN THAT NEEDETH NOT TO BE ASHAMED, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. 2Ti 2:15
