Dear Kit,

                 Hello I have a question for you well two actually about the sun will be black as slackcloth AND the moon will be turned to blood. My question to you is will that really happen I mean will the sun really turn black and the moon crimson red? Because I am a born again christian I love Jesus with all my heart he is my world I gave my life to Jesus Christ he is lord. When I was seven years old in 93 I am now 21 and still looking for biblical answers for this? I went to the toy store with my mother and aunt we were toy shopping for my aunt her sons and for me. K and I looked out the window of the store and was frightended by it I said to my mother look at the sky its acting funny. And I pointed people were running back and forth I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was curious in my little mind, old women took out there rosarys started to pray to God crying. Mothers grabbed there children and frightenly got in the car and drove away. It was so odd I saw a elderly woman saying in spanish a prayer to our lord. The sky was of fire on one side and darkness on the other there was a large black void in the middle of the clouds it was as black as space its self. There was no wind or vacuum power from it so it wasnt a blackhole. It looked like the sun! but when night fell everything was normal the moon was as its usual. Lightning was scattered everyway thunder as loud as a roaring wave, What was that storm was that a sign from above saying dont forget I am coming soon or something? And what about July 7,of 2007 7/7/07. Is anything going to happen on that day any sign from God?

Hmmm it's interesting that your name is jacqueline, thats my moms name and my best friend is Jackie.

Anyway, to answer your question, I've learned that the Bible is to be taken literally (what it says,it means), and when it is clearly figurative, we are to try and get the literal meaning from it. So yes, that passage means exactly what it says.

As for the second part of your inquiry, I don't know about what happened in your neck of the woods on that day...so I can't say for sure. What I do know is this...
That IF it did happen as you described it...most of this half of the world should of seen the same things as you did,  and I did not. As for the July 7th, I have not heard anything.

Please allow me to warn you on something here...

In these last days, the anti-christ wil be able to perform miracles as powerful as Jesus...we are warned of this in His word (2 Thessalonians ch 2 verses 9-12) KJV

So be very careful not to believe everything you see and hear. Remember this always, get to really know God thru His word, the bible says to "STUDY to show thyself approved unto God". By knowing the truth, the whole truth, it will be impossible for you to believe a lie.
