Quran 2:256. Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

Quran 2:257. Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever).

Quran 16:82 But if they turn away from you, (O Prophet remember that) your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message (entrusted to you).

Dear Sir,

Your answer was very convincing. It is true the war between falsehood and truth is going on. That is the reason God's law is not being followed and satan wants to get most number of people into Hell alongwith him. but may I remind you that the last testament (Holy Quran) still exists in its original form, free from human insertions. Also God has told in the quran that chaste people may not worry as Satan will not be able to misguide them.  Therefore if we believe in God and submit to him - By God's will - we will never be ruined.

Further let me invite you to the way of Islam by reciting the following verse from the holy quran - Translation as follows

Quran 3:64 Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).

Please do witness that I am Muslim (The one who submits to God's will) if you do not want to accept God's message.

To our surprise the original scriptures do not exist at all, and all we have is a mere translation and that too only the 4 gospels . !!!  What about the rest. Is the Gospel word of God or word of the disciples of Jesus ??

If you want to really believe an old scripture then the VEDAS (hinduism) have an scripture which is about 5,000 years old. Surprisingly it also points towards Islam and the last messenger's name "Mohammed" is written in those books !!

We muslims have a night prayer (apart from 5 obligatory prayers) called "Tahajjud" which is done at around 2 in the night when everyone is asleep. Also during the 5 Prayers we say the following in each rakat(portion)
1 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the universe;
2 The gracious, the merciful;
3 Master of the Day of Judgment.
4 You do we worship, and your aid we seek.
5 Show us the straight way,
6 The way of those on whom you have bestowed your grace, those whose portion is not wrath, and who go not astray.
AMEN

Why I asked you to read Quran was that you can very well know that it is widely accepted as the unchanged Book of Good, still intact in its original script even after 1400 years have passed since it was revealed. This is not achieved because of human smartness but because God himself has guarded it as said in the holy quran chapter 56 - The Inevitable
56:77 That this is indeed a Quran most honourable,
56:78 In a book well guarded,
56:79 Which none shall touch but those who are clean:
56:80 A revelation from the Lord of the universe.
56:81 Is it such a message that you would hold in light esteem?
56:82 And have you made it your livelihood that you should declare it false?

Right after the warning, Jesus says that you will know them (prophets) by their fruits. That clearly indicates there will be messengers of God that would come after him. Anyway what do you have to say for this Genesis chapter

Genesis 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

Who is the great nation that is promised in the above verse??

Greetings in the name of Jesus, the Christ, savior...

To answer your question as truthfully as possible, I don't recall any ONE passage or verse persay.
However, there are one or two passages that could be assumed as such. But usually these same passages are taken as meaning.. John, the baptist...
as in, it was he who was to "prepare the way" for Jesus the christ.

Other than what I have just shared with you, I can't add anything more, I'm sorry.

If you would only READ and study God's word (KJV)
you would then find, that this prophet is and was Jesus...
most all prophecies point to and concern Him and only Him.

ONE only has to read and study.

one of my favorite verses in God's word is
2 Timothy 2:15

it says ...in part...STUDY to show thyself approved unto God, rightly dividing the word of truth

Jesus was clearly talking about false prophets here, and He was speaking to His original 12 disciples, when a person becomes a christian , he/she then becomes another disciple...or rather a learner or follower and as such obeys the great commission (commandment) of sharing the gospel of truth. This whole section of teaching begins at chapter 5 and it is know as the Beatitudes.
The fruits of the Spirit he teaches of,and asks His disciples to be on the watch for concerning false prophets and/or teachers are listed below with an explanation:

Fruit of the Spirit - Visible Growth in Jesus Christ
"Fruit of the Spirit" is a biblical term that sums up the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life. Using the King James Version of Galatians 5:22-23, these attributes are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. We learn from scripture that these are not individual "fruits" from which we pick and choose. Rather, the fruit of the Spirit is one ninefold "fruit" that characterizes all who truly walk in the Holy Spirit. Collectively, these are the fruits that all Christians should be producing in their new lives with Jesus Christ.

Fruit of the Spirit - The Nine Biblical Attributes
The fruit of the Spirit is a physical manifestation of a Christian's transformed life. In order to mature as believers, we should study and understand the attributes of the ninefold fruit:

Love - "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:16). Through Jesus Christ, our greatest goal is to do all things in love. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

Joy - "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2).

Peace - "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

Longsuffering (patience) -- We are "strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness" (Colossians 1:11). "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2).

Gentleness (kindness) -- We should live "in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left" (2 Corinthians 6:6-7).

Goodness - "Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power" (2 Thessalonians 1:11). "For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth" (Ephesians 5:9).

Faith (faithfulness) - "O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth" (Isaiah 25:1). "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith" (Ephesians 3:16-17).

Meekness - "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" (Galatians 6:1). "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2).

Temperance (self-control) - "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love" (2 Peter 1:5-7).

Hello again...seeker of truth,

First of all, yes there would be many more (prophets) come after him, as we see even today...on TV, radio and the like.
These same so-called prophets are helping to decieve many.
Now, this does not mean that there aren't genuine sincere and truthful messengers of God out there today. Because there ARE indeed true prophets today and always will be. But they are too far and in between meaning not many out there.

Ok second, You know what you and others need to do...while studying..and seeking the truth?  I find it a blessing and need to have with me, both a King James Version Bible and a Strongs Exhaustive Concordance with a greek and hebrew dictionary.  In this way, I can always be assured of the correct meaning of the words said.  You see, the old testament was originally written in Hebrew, and the New in Greek. And as the KJV is the most accurate english version out there, and been around the longest, the original writers of the KJV ... being that their language at the time, in some places of KJV didn't do it justice...we need to look up what was actually meant in the original language. I hope I said that right !!!

In any event, that nation was (I believe) based upon the hebrew meaning of the word NATION in that passage, "Israel"
of that era and time.

But you need to follow that onward also by doing a study of the division of the 12 tribes, among the area, as well as who among those 12 were to be blessed by God moreso than the others. And doing so, finding out who or where that final nation is.

but, in all honesty, I can NOT nor will I ever seek any other truth then what is clearly taught in the KJV of God's word.

The reason being, is that I have found the only truth, the way and the life through Jesus, the christ savior, and God's Son.

I can honestly say also, that I indeed commend you and wish you well, in the seeking of the truth as I have and found.

well, the original manuscripts of the KJV is over 2000 yrs old, and it IS the "inspired" word of God, there is no other.

The only answer I have to give you, at least at this time...is that the 4 gospels "IS" the words of God [both,through Jesus, His Son, and inspired by the Holy Spirit]...the rest of it IS the words of God (by INSPIRATION of the Holy Spirit unto and through man) to us.  This is part of what is taught to us, and expected from us, in John 3:15 - 21; and in part says:

"16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

part of the meaning of belief is having FAITH, TRUST that what is said and done is real and true.  Then in Hebrews ch 11 and starting at verse 1 through verse 6..it gives the meaning of faith. In other words, you must believe the word of God ...IS the word of God, and that it says what it means and means what it says.

The scripture should interpret itself..and not allow mankind to twist and turn it around to say and mean what he/she wants it to mean and say.

Finally, my friend, if you intend on arguing what is truth and what is not.  Then you have come to the wrong person.
Please seek someone else. Furthermore, if you belong to the same belief system as those in iraq specifically the taliban
el queda (not sure of the spelling here), then i'm sorry, but  whatever they take as the word of God is entirely false...their interpretation of who God  is is totally wrong...and is causing innocent people to die for no reason at all. May God have mercy on them, when judgement day comes.

Accoding to  1 John ch 5 verses 7 and 8 of the KJV King James Version...
 
all three are one and the same God, they are equal parts of the whole, and ONE God.

Ok, This is a very long discussion of sorts...and it could take awhile for you to finally understand that the KJV is the ONLY most accurate english version of God's word today and has been since it was first written and/or translated....from the original manuscripts. But I'll try to give you short explanation/answer.

The KJV has been the only english word of God since the year 1611 (a period of about 600 years). ONLY in the last say, 40-60 yrs...has all the other versions come out. WHY?
because the devil knows his time is short and that there isn't enough time left for him to screw up God's plan for man. You see, there is a spiritual war going on between God and the devil, between good and evil etc. The battle is for mankinds soul and eternal life.

So with this in mind....let me now ask you this. What would be the best way to screw up Gods plan, and in doing so mislead thousands or millions to follow satan instead, and therefore allowing the devil to be the victor?

Every general knows the best way to win a war, is to "divide" the masses and conquer individual smaller groups.

Well this is what the devil is doing....by dividing us (the body of Christ) as a whole, into smaller groups (denominations) within these denominations the rules and belief system is different. Therefore dividing us even more by these smaller groups fighting amongst themselves over which doctrines are correct and right...etc.  All this is being done, by allowing all these perverted versions of God's word to be created and read....in the last 60 yrs.

So hopefully you now understand that God never meant for all these denominations to be created. There is ONLY one religion according to God.

Your answer is also correct in the KJV, but worded differently...

But this is only true "IF" people fully are born again of the Spirit of God...and fully obey His commands as taught in His word....therefore not allowing satan to TURN them from God's will to his.
