Question
I am researching the Baptist belief about once saved always saved. I do not believe it of course and I know the Scriptures. I just need to know where they see thins inthe word

Answer
Greetings, in the name of Jesus...

Good for you, and praise God you don't believe this lie from hell.

I was raised a baptist...and even today, I'm confounded by how they can possible believe such utter nonsense. The only explanation I have is that they fail to read and STUDY the word of God for themselves, instead of listening to and believing what they are taught by a so-called preacher.

If they would take and/or make the time to STUDY God's word they would see clearly that this is a false doctrine.

No where in God's word is this taught, in fact, it is just the opposite.

What they falsely seem to want to do, is take simple passages, and twist and turn it around so that they then have a right or rather LICENSE to do whatever they want to.

The bible is to be taken LITERALLY first, then where it figurative, we are supposed to get the literal meaning from it. You see, most of the way Jesus taught His disciples was to tell them stories; better known as parables. It must be these same parables that the baptist today...twist and turn around.

then there are those passages they also misinterpret:

Romans 8:30 declares, "And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified."

<-- beginning of the baptist belief--->
This verse tells us that from the moment God chooses us, it is as if we are glorified in His presence in heaven. There is nothing that can prevent a believer from one day being glorified because God has already purposed it in heaven. Once a person is justified, his salvation is guaranteed - he is as secure as if he is already glorified in heaven.
<--end of the baptist belief-->

EXPLANATION:

this is true only to the point, that we OBEY God in His word, and OBEY His holy Spirit within us teaching us etc
IF we disobey we are backslidden it is as if we are crucifying christ all over again.

Here is absolute proof to the positive that this Once saved always saved is a lie...

"(Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

Here is a webpage that kind of sums up what the baptists believe about this topic

...notice that some of the passages this person gives as being taught in God's word, he/she doesn't give the referrence.  And notice also, that in order to correctly interpret the passage ...we must let scripture interpret scripture, in other words we must not take any single passage as doctrine,we must take the whole context and/or paragraph(s) before it and after it, as a whole.

If you'll truly and carefully STUDY God's word for yourself,
you would also see the whole truth of the matter. I'll give you one right now;  ECCLESIASTES 12: verses 13 and 14

verse 13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

verse 14
For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or wether it be evil.

every commandment of God must be obeyed and kept, not just the original ten, in the book of exodus.

Also alot of these commandments are conditional if they are studied correctly.  IF YOU DO THIS, I WILL GIVE YOU THAT.

the baptist fail to see that aspect of it...

I hope this helps

In His Service, and Love
Bro  Kit

Expertise

My main expertise is in Prophecy. I have a B.A. degree in Religion and Church Ministry from a school for Prophets, out of Jacksonville, Florida. I am also quite versed in the Bible as a whole. I am a non-denominational Christian, due to my belief that God never meant for different denominations... there is ONLY one religion (as the word of God says). I consider this to be an excellant way to witness the glory of God to others, and to further His Kingdom, and purposes...before the soon return of His Son, Jesus.
