Christianity -- Christian Living/being catholic

QuestionQUESTION: Kit,
I was reading your response to an individual who sent you an explanation on 4/27/07 (BEING CATHOLIC). I will not get into a debate with you concerning doctrine, but what I did notice about your response is how much it is "you" who think you are "right" about doctrine and how you say the questioner will become arrogant when a debate begins when again it is you who show your arrogance. The "being catholic" question or explanation was meant to explain why we believe what we believe. Remember two things about those catholics who have knowledge of our faith as this particular questioner did, he or she quoted the scriptures where he or she referenced beliefs and that the beliefs were not his or her own that was gleened from so called study of scripture, but what the church teaches.
Finally, you said by telling this person to back up to verse 15 that you "proved" him or her wrong about Peter. That by any explanation is not a "proof" but your interpretation as you have learned it. Up until the 16th century, not one existed that would have put forth your interpretation. Personally, I think it was you who acted in arrogance toward a particularly thorough explanation of the catholic beliefs.
ANSWER: I refuse to take on an air of arguing, nor will I continue to
to debate who is right or wrong.
I simply gave verses as to the correctness/wrongness of what they were saying.
What I will do...is share what I "KNOW" and have been proved is the absolute proof with others, no matter what anyone wants to think or believe or say. I KNOW I'm right when it comes to the word of God (KJV) King James version. and the only one I must prove myself to is Jesus, as it will be HE that will finally judge as to who is right or wrong.
In any event, allow me to leave you with this one thing to meditate on:
1Cor 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned."
The reason catholics do not see and acknowledge this truth
is because they are not spiritually born again of the Spirit of God...as the verse above proves and teaches. But..ooohhh yeah, I forgot, catholics have their own bible, thats right.
I refuse to again share this one truth any further..if you wish to argue, please look elsewhere.

QUESTION: Kit,
For goodness sake I am not arguing. It seems anyone reading these questions and responses can see what the "being catholic questioner" and I said is not argument but explanation of what we believe. You have done exactly what you said the "Catholic" would do. Here read your own words:
You do, what alot of people do...you do one of or both of the following, when reading the bible..you either try to make the bible say what you want it to say, or you take one or two sentences and take them completely out of context with the rest of the paragraph. And this is the major reason there are so many arguements which causes division among the body of christ, as a whole.
First of all, i hope and pray you are reading from the KJV
cause we could debate this for ages...and you would become so arrogant and prideful in the end, of always being right, no matter what i or anyone says.
I've just proved you wrong ....
I just know the real truth the whole truth about the fallicies of Catholic belief system
Also if you knew prophecy at all...you would then understand that the catholic system plays a major role in the end times...
To me you responded no less kindly:

Notice Kit the arrogance, seemingly angry, accusatory, and demeaning words and phrases you use with someone you supposedly call "brother or sister". All these above quotations came from you not me or the questioner of "being catholic." You sir obviously have a bias against the Catholic Church and catholics by the words and phrases you use to respond. A polite discourse regarding beliefs would be a welcome change instead of a demeaning, harsh, almost ..no not almost...definitely hateful response. I would implore you as the believer you say you are to study what Paul did when confronted with other religions and beliefs. Read the words of our Lord and see how he would respond to those who genuinely questioned him in search of information and truth regarding what HE taught. The pharisees and sadducees definitely asked Jesus questions in attempts to trip him up in some way to accuse him and Jesus tone was different with them. I do not think by my reading of "being catholic" that person was trying to trip you up or anger you. I would hope your love of Christ and the charity he taught through his apostles to the church would prevail here.
Peace be with you,

ANSWER: Look I guess I have to give you a lesson on
HOW TO READ THE BIBLE (kjv)
"the bible is to be taken LITERALLY...and if it is figurative, (like some of it is) then you try to get the literal meaning of what is said"
I feel you wish to argue this point, something I refuse to do...so please do not bother me with this point.
If you choose to further this discussion I will not reply.
I suggest you take this up with Jesus, Himself by prayer.
And I ask Jesus to enlighten you as to its correctness.
May He bless you with understanding.

QUESTION: Bro. Kit,
This is actually getting quite comical. I wish you could see your words in the context of being a believer instead of the context of being a man who "believes he is right".
I never asked or debated proper context of scripture interpretation, I leave that up to the church and her teachings on the subject. As with the first response look at the way you attempt to get your message across, again not my words but yours:
ANSWER: Look I guess I have to give you a lesson on
HOW TO READ THE BIBLE (kjv)
"Kit, I have said nothing about which version is correct, right or wrong, you have"
"the bible is to be taken LITERALLY...and if it is figurative, (like some of it is) then you try to get the literal meaning of what is said"
"Kit, I have said nothing about how it is interpreted again that is you brother".
I feel you wish to argue this point, something I refuse to do...so please do not bother me with this point.
"Kit, read you words, you are arguing doctrine and interpretation".
I suggest you take this up with Jesus, Himself by prayer.
And I ask Jesus to enlighten you as to its correctness.
May He bless you with understanding.
"Kit, again are you suggesting that Jesus will enlighten me to "your" way of thinking and believing?"
I suggest Bro. Kit that you print these posts and share them with you pastor and get his take on it. If you still feel the need to use such demeaning language and arrogance go ahead, its a free internet. I would take your pastors advice though, and I am quite sure he might say to "tone" down your responses and "respect" what others believe. There is less a chance of winning souls for Christ when our pride and arrogance rules our thought process.
May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.

AnswerTHAT is where most believers fall short...and/or go wrong.
They listen to and take everything a pastor or preacher says as gospel truth...INSTEAD of listening to what the word of God itself says and/or teaches, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit that lives within them (if sincerely saved, that is).
There is no such thing as "denominations" in Gods word, there is only ONE religion (says the word of God).
It's the devil that created all these stupid denominations; and why did he do this, you may ask?
to help bring about and cause division, as a whole, among the body of Christ...and this is why you wish to argue/debate this point.
As I said before, I refuse to play the devils game here...
