Here are the basics: the trademarks of God are joy, peace, and love, as per Romans 5. That's why you can have absolute peace and smile when the world is crumbling before you. the enemy has the other side, hate, fear, and depression. that's why during a happy time something will just make you feel one of these things 'out of the blue'.

this is like your check mark with dealing with anything. things making u feel outside of these doesn't necessarily mean they're evil. Go back to God and check. Listen to exactly what He tells you to do.

And just to tweak what Twyla said, humans don't have power over demons- God does. As christians, we fall into the inheritance and are made clean by the Blood of the Lamb. Jesus has the power and authority and that's why we can cast them out. otherwise people wouldn't suffer with possessions or hauntings or anything. It's always important to go back to God.

As a christian, you are not in harm.
