Dude, Paul, save it, man. I mean no offense but seriously, Christianity is a hoax in a lot of ways for a lot of people.  The same arguments are always used to try and persuade people to understand how much God can make a difference to our sinful ways.  It's true, God works, and Christ saves, but in the end the light always dims and is spent elsewhere, for a lot of people.  I truly wonder how much God cares during these moments? I wonder how a force so true and mighty can fail so consistently within people, especially people who are open and believing?  How are people so strong to deny it or be fooled into denying it?  The fact is any holistic philosophy or “new-age” reasoning can achieve the same results as Christianity.  In the end they’re all the same, regardless of whatever apologetic explications are applied for the reasons of spiritual failure.

I grew up believing and come from a whole family of believers in the Trinity.  I know about the wasted efforts employed to gain acceptance and/or worldly wealth and possessions, and of the fruitlessness of these pursuits.  I don't doubt God's existence or His works and I believe His Son walked the earth, died, and resurrected.  Also, I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost on more than several occasions.  But, frankly, I admit I can't blame anyone who does not believe.  God may not cause bad things to happen but He does allow them for unknown reasons that seem so megalomaniacal.  As a Christian I often read and came to understand how the sin of this world, our sin, prevents the purity and perfection of God from working in our lives, at least as He would like to work in our lives.  Yet, the fact remains, God truly lets humans down as much as we let Him down.  It was not anyone’s will to be born, but still, we have to live like cockroaches and rats waiting for crumbs to fall.  I despise God for this fact.  I wish I never was, but who cares?  Can I do anything about it? The answer is a resounding ‘NO.’ I must wait it out and thank Him while I grab my ankles.  “Thank You, Sir, may I have another.”  That’s it.  That’s all there is to this life.  And for those who can do this, there will be a reward.  Life sucks, man, whether you accept God or not.  For me, that is the definition of fruitlessness.  God is fruitless.

As this is a Christian catagory question, I answered his question from a biblical perspective whether he was a lapsed Christan or someone who was hurting from life.

Therefore my advice was sound doctrine based on the bible.

I am sorry u have had such a negative experience of the might and majesty and power of the Lord Jesus Christ in your life.

The bible says "seek and ye shall find" etc................

Thanks for your response.

One thing that these well meaning, but naive people have left out is the reality that once you even look in God's direction; You have effectively hung a target on you for the Devil to aim and hit.

You need to realize that you are a pawn in the battle for eternity. Whether by conscious choice, or by not choosing, we all make a choice as to which side we will stand with in the end. There has been a battle being waged for the souls of men since Satan formed an opposing force against God and his plan for men. Living as a believer is a tough, gritty, hard life. One that requires dedication; despite the hardships. As Paul said "we are to be pitied above all if we have been deceived."

i hate GOD so much because he put me on this rotten earth, and that he made so many VERY EXTREMELY LUCKY men and women that have met one another and have a family that i would have certainly wanted too. it is very bad that i was married to a FILTHY WHORE at one time that cheated on me, and i was the one that was very faithful and loved her very much before this happened to me. and now that i go out again, i always seem to meet so many LOW LIFE LOSER WOMEN instead of meeting a good one. there are so many women now that are LESBIANS, and they are so very disgusting as it is which certainly makes it much more difficult for me. it is so very sad that GOD created GARBAGE like them in the first place, and years ago many women were certainly much more EDUCATED and they were certainly much more committed to their men and accepted them for who they were.
