QuestionHello there, I have been a christian for 6 years now and through the years, there are ups and downs in my walk. Currently for the pass few months I must say, I have been going dry spiritually. I cannot feel the presence of God and there seems to be a holy dissatifaction in me. I personally think that my unrepented sin of lust and self-centreness has cause a compromise on my relationship with God. Somehow, I know what to do but I cannot find myself doing it. I have been battling this sin of lust and sin of sheer indolence(ignorance towards devotion). I feel like a sunday christian and the fruits of the spirit is not living out through me. I have been listening to sermons after sermons encouraging me to walk right but somehow over time I will fall back to where I just started. Therefore please enlighten me that I may have that mind and discipline to live out the best of what God want me to.
Your advise will be very much appreciated.
AnswerGreetings in the wonderful mighty name of Jesus, the Christ.
Without knowing the specific lust you are battling...the only help I can give you would be to "pray and fast" for three full days.
Read carefully Mark 9:17-29
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Most all sickness and illness, (including sin) is brought about by demons (unclean spirits). Some unclean spirits can only come out by prayer and fasting. Just as there is angels there are demons. The movie exorcist briefly touched on the existance of these demons. The ministry of deliverance is what Jesus is showing these disciples in this passage.
You must be very careful, when dealing with demons....and it requires hours of study of God's word to combat these demons.
The word of God (bible) is the SWORD of truth...and you must use this sword agains any/all attacks of this kind.
See if you can get some books by Derek Prince on this topic.

I hope this helps...
The only other thing i can say...is that IF you expect to get to heaven...you must STOP all known sin. KEEP in the word...study it always. It will help.
