Christianity -- Christian Living/job opportunity

QuestionHi Kit,
I currently live in Hawaii and attend the most Spirit filled and amazing church that Ive ever seen, I'm absolutely blessed to be part of this family. My spiritual growth has exploded and I'm being mentored and shaped by the Spirit and staff into a leader myself. I am still employed in the secular world however, working for the government. Recently I was offered a job back in Colorado (where I am originally from). I've been sitting on it for several months now (they are being flexible with me) and am unsettled on it. Ive written a list of pros/cons to moving/staying. My family is on Colorado (wonderful Christian parents who I love and miss, and 2 brothers) but I would have to find a new church and new church family. The pro to staying here is obviously my wonderful family in Christ. I know I am to be anxious in nothing, but my lease is up and I must decide. The Lord's will in my life is first, do I step out in faith and take the risk? I know no one can tell me what to do, I just need some encouragement and insight, please share your insight and wisdom with me.
In Christ,
Brian
AnswerGreetings in the name of Jesus..
Brian, if you are so spirit filled...you should be able to hear from God yourself , this answer.
I cannot tell you specifically, what God wants you to do...all I can and will do is teach you how to get this answer for yourself.
The best and only way to hear from God...is to PRAY and FAST. Remember how Jesus (himself) would always do this same thing when needing an answer from His Father?
What you do is this: Start out slowly, working up to 3 days. NO food or water for those days. You can (if needed)take water into your mouth for swishing around after brushing your teeth etc. but do not swallow it.
All the while you are fasting, you must be in the spirit, praying always. Try to not talk to know one, always staying in the spirit. On the last day, after eating, pray again and ask God what you will, and he will answer, and if you stay STILL enough you should be able to hear from Him.
God answers in many ways, The way He answered me, is that He
gave me a passage in His word, dealing with my question.
I'm not saying that He will answer you in the same way...so be alert, and don't place God in a BOX. Also ...usually, the first small voice you hear, is God...the second is the devil. Remember also that most everything God says, will line up with what is taught in His word.
In His Service, and love
Bro. Kit
