QuestionAs Christians, we believe in the RESURRECTION, not in the hypothesis of reincarnation. But Gnostic Christianity affirms reincarnation rather than resurrection.Do we go into heaven if we merely believe in Jesus? If that one just believe in Jesus so that they can go to heaven, isn't that out of fear and greed? Does this mean devotion to other religions like Kabbala/Buddhism won't lead you to heaven? Why it seems modern Christianity focus so much on faith in Jesus itself and not moral/relationship building? Shouldn't we love Jesus as much as we love others?
AnswerJohn 14:6
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
NIV
There is only one way to Father God through Jesus Christ His Son. Through repentance and faith in the work of our Lord on the Cross...
Rom 10:8-11
9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
NIV
Apart from this 'entry requirement' into the Kingdom, a born again Christian is expected to seek, obey and do the Father's Will...
Matt 7:21
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
NIV
