Question
Hi
i recently started attending a luthern church , my question is as a former roman catholic, Im not sure do luthern people were crosses with jesus on them as jewlery? i cant seem to locate information on this and i dont want to wear something offense in the church thanks

Answer
I quote--"The Trinity doctrine is only one of many things that have been carried over from the Catholic church to the Lutheran church. The Lutheran clergy have continued to wear the old Mass vestments and carry on the old ceremonial forms of worship. The altar with its candles and crucifix were retained, although such things are without Scriptural support. The use of candles and the cross in worship is actually of pagan origin, as admitted by Cardinal Newman in his book Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine."

so yes the Lutheran church is no different from the Catholic church, they both worship God incorrectly.

all the best

I love to study and have made a point of finding out all there is to know about Early Christianity, how it was founded, and why, what happened after it was established, where it all went wrong, and why Christianity is struggling today.Having been a protestant I can give you its history, and now being one of Jehovah`s witnesses I can give you its history also.

Experience

I have been speaking to people about this for over 30 years so that has given me experience.
