I have a question. What did Christianity thought about idols?
Were they saying that it is not right?

Yes, Christianity, and the Word of God (Bible) teaches us that idolatry is wrong, and is to be avoided.

Ex 20:4
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

1 Cor. 10:14
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Galatians 5
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

QUESTION: Dear Greg Madden,
I understand that,but I didn't tell you exact things that I needed you to help me with. Even though I am Christian Orthodox I am not very religious and I don't know(or don't understand)a lots of things about Christianity. My humanities teacher gave me an essay on religions parts. He said: 1."Choose a subject that interests you"(I chose 'Idols'). 2."Choose two cultures that interest you, which have interacted with each other"(I chose Islam and Christianity) 3."Prepare and present a report in which you describe the different ways in which each culture handles the subject, and inter cultural experience with the subject".
(I've got some parts of it, but I need more info and it's very hard for me to find it. And I also have to "properly site" my sources. And a lots of web-sites are telling me wrong information that I can't use as a source. That's why I'm asking for your help. I need someone who is professional to help me make and understand the project.)"I am not asking you to do the essay for me."
