Mmm well first of all the Catholic faith was NOT the "mother" or "main part" of Christianity.

Let me explain--TRUE Christianity was practiced by Jesus in the 1st Century, but after the apostles death it became corrupted, this led to the Catholic religion being established in the 4th Century followed by the Protestant faith being established in the 15th Century, but both are counterfeit Christianity,neither of them resemble TRUE Christianity, the one Jesus established.
